Project Overview
ghd’s hair education content is a key pillar of the brand, providing users with styling expertise and inspiration. However, the existing experience lacked structure, making it difficult for users to navigate and engage with content effectively. Through a design research and discovery process, the goal was to understand user needs, improve content accessibility, and create a more immersive editorial experience that seamlessly integrated social content, product highlights, and personalised discovery tools.
Process & Approach
To improve engagement, content pages were structured based on a clear hierarchy of information, ensuring tutorials, styling guides, and product recommendations were presented in a way that felt cohesive, visually appealing, and easy to digest. The updated design introduced a refined editorial aesthetic, leveraging high-quality imagery, video integration, and social elements to create a richer, more interactive experience.
Outcome & Impact
This project provided key insights into user behaviour and content engagement, highlighting opportunities for improved personalisation, navigation, and editorial storytelling. The findings deepened understanding of future possibilities for enhancing GHD’s digital hair education experience, shaping long-term strategies for stronger user engagement.
